With World War 2 coming to a close, the leaders of the victorious nations had a tough decision: how to deal with the war crimes of the Nazi regime? WWII was particularly hideous due to the Nazis' large-scale efforts to extinguish an entire race of people. Many proposals for the reckoning came forth, ranging from shooting the Nazi leaders on sight to a full-scale trial with due process strictures.
